About Westbrook, CT - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Westbrook is a shoreline community in Middlesex County. Beautifully situated on the banks of Long Island Sound, planked by two rivers, Patchogue to the east and Menunketesuck to the west, the town has approximately 4 miles of spectacular shorefront. People settled in Westbrook in 1638. Back then, the area was known as the Pochaug or Patchogue part of Saybrook Plantation.

Westbrook provides fun experience to people of all ages. When it comes to places to visit and things to do, this quiet coastal town has a lot to offer. Residents and tourists flock the town’s many beaches, such as Grove Beach and West Beach, during summer to enjoy the fresh salty breeze and the numerous maritime activities in the area. The town offers plenty of shopping opportunities as well through its local retail businesses and through Tanger Mall. Westbrook has significant contribution to maritime history, thanks to its genius native, David Bushnell, the inventor of submarine. Visitors can find more information about him by visiting the Museum of Early Engineering. Other Westbrook attractions are Military Historians Headquarters Museum, and Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge and Westbrook Hunt Club.

Like neighboring towns Old Saybrook and Old Lyme, Westbrook experiences relatively moderate temperature all year round. Sea breeze lowers down summer temperatures. Winters in Westbrook are not as harsh as the other areas located further inland. At times, a winter storm will bring rain to the town, while similar storm system brings snow to towns up north.
